Narrow, wide, or something in between. Wood Floor Solutions offers varying Timber Flooring board widths to choose from. Wood Floor Solutions offer Tongue & Groove in 60mm, 80mm & 130mm, Overlay in 85mm and Parquetry in either 65mm or 85mm. Remember, though not all types of timber come in every width. The cover widths of these Timber Flooring boards will depend on the profile of the timber selected - speak to your Wood Floor Solutions sales representative about the amount of timber you'll need for your area of flooring. When making your choice of board with keep in mind that the wider the Timber Flooring board, the greater the natural shrinkage and expansion across the face of the board. Therefore, during dry periods, wider boards may exhibit slightly wider gaps between boards and cupping may also be apparent. As a general rule, Timber Flooring laid along a room will make it look longer, while boards laid across a room will make it look wider. Also narrower boards will make a room look bigger. |
