Ordering your timber
Before ordering your timber,
you should determine the grade you require and acquaint yourself
with the allowable features in that grade. Click here to see the
grades of timber as well as a
description of its features.
Do not fix a board with
defects or moisture content outside the allowable limit of 9-14%.
Wood Floor Solutions will not warrant any boards rejected because of grade
tolerances or moisture content outside the Australian standard
after they have been fixed. If you suspect grading out of
standard contact Wood Floor Solutions prior to laying.
Sanding and Finishing
Retain only a competent and
qualified floor sanding and finishing contractor to finish your
floor. For more information, speak to one of
our friendly team, who will be happy to suggest someone.
Consult with your finish
manufacturer before you apply it to your floor. Manufacturers will generally not guarantee or
warrant its products if you use a finish that will glue boards
together (such as polyurethane).
Safety
Working with Timber may result
in the generation of dust and require the use of dangerous
equipment. Wood Floor Solutions accepts no liability for the use of
its products outside the practices recommended by the Australian
Safety Standards. Wood Floor Solutions reserve the right to alter
specifications without notice.
